Voipraider is a provider of voice over IP and SMS services that is owned and operated by Betamax. This Swiss company offers a range of VoIP and conventional PSTN call-by-call services across various European markets and in Hongkong. In late 2005, it acquired VoIP services from Finarea SA. Whether the two companies are related remains unclear. At the beginning of 2010, the companies' brands were managed by Dellmont Sarl.
Landline rate
Betamax is a prepaid Internet telephony service provider based in Cologne, Germany. Its service is available on various platforms and is compatible with both SIP-protocol-based software and hardware. Its prepaid calling plans feature free client-to-client calls. It also offers dedicated call-in numbers for select countries.
Betamax offers free calls to PC and landlines within the Czech Republic. It also offers SMS services at rates of 0.25 CZK per text message, which are inclusive of VAT and the exchange rate of one Euro = 25CZK. The only limitation with this plan is that users can only use the service for a limited amount of time each week and use only one IP address.
Betamax also features different rate plans. Some do not support SIP, while others offer only softphone options. All these plans are prepaid, and they have different payment methods for different retail labels. However, Betamax recently removed its Paypal and credit card payment options for some users. In a recent update, the company mentioned that this move was because of the fact that some users reported being unable to pay with Paypal and credit cards.
Mobile rate
Betamax VoIP service providers are offered by the Betamax group of companies. They offer good quality and affordable rates for mobile users, provided you have a decent internet connection. These companies may be a viable alternative to Skype, although we have not tested their customer service. We have found that some of their contact details are difficult to find and they don't have a customer orientated approach.
The application works by allowing users to make PC-to-PC and PC-to-Phone calls for free. They can also send free SMS and receive free calls to other countries. This application supports mobile phones and landlines. It is easy to download and install, and offers a variety of features to improve your phone experience.
