Betamax is a VOIP provider available in about 30 countries. Some users of this provider have reported that they cannot use their service because they are blocked. Users are unable to purchase credits, but when they try to make a call, they get an error message that states that the other party ended the call due to an unknown error.

Landline rate

Betamax is a Czech telecommunications company that offers a wide variety of VoIP and SMS services. Several of its products are free to use on landlines and PCs. SMS rates are very low, with the most basic option costing 0.25 CZK per message. This rate includes VAT and exchange rates. However, there are limits, and the service only supports 300 minutes per week and one unique IP address per account.

The Betamax service is available in many countries. In addition to its SMS and VOIP offerings, it also offers web callback services, based on the SIP protocol. It is available in about 30 countries, including the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Betamax also offers client-to-client VoIP calls, although dedicated call-in numbers are currently available only in some countries.

Mobile rate

Betamax VoIP service providers are not all the same. They offer different rates, and some of them may only support softphone or SIP calling. All of them are prepaid, and most of them allow you to use different payment methods. Betamax used to let you pay via credit cards or Paypal, but it recently removed these options for some users. Apparently, the reason is that customers were experiencing "General Error" errors.

Betamax is a prepaid Internet telephony service provider based in Cologne, Germany. Betamax provides VoIP phone services through proprietary client software. It also offers services through SIP-protocol-based software or hardware. The service offers client-to-client calls and dedicated call-in numbers in selected countries.
